This one was presented as brewed by a former brewer from the begian brewery Rodenbach.... and if you didn´t know you could assurdly have guessed it, because this one has many similarities with its european sour brothers from Roeselare.
The nose is buttery with strong notes of sour grapefruits. The appearence is nice and dark-golden with a light golden head. This sour-ale is for me to singular sour and i miss the complexity in its taste. Still there a hints of gooseberrys and fresh lemons and woodchips.

Jul 29, 2008 Bottle: Pours an orange-brown with a small, bubbly white head. Aroma is candi sugar, green apple, citrus rind. Flavor is oak, and dry, with a finish similar to a sweet tart. Went well with crab fritters.

Jul 28, 2008 Updated: Dec 19, 2008On Tap @ Stone World Bistro. A great sour. Hints of cherry and oak. Good balance, not pure sour. Beautiful color & distinct barnyard aroma.
3rd in Xmas Tasting w/ Vistica. Bottle from LiquorMax. Bottle date 7/08. Pours dark amber with furious beige head. Funky sour aroma with a hint of wet ass. Flavor is tart, apple cider vinegar with slight sour cherry. Warming enhaces tartness. Bottle even better than draft.

Jul 27, 2008 Pours dark red orange hazy with no carbonation. Aroma is tart ctrius strawberries. Flavor like eating sourpatch kids. Very vinegary sour. Much more extreme than my liking for sours.

Jul 21, 2008 Twickenham Brewery tasting 08. Sour yeast farmyard, pig farm aroma. Decent acidity, not too extreme. Good balance, quite dry. Stunning.

Jul 20, 2008 Celebrating rating 800 a little early with this 750 ml bottle. Pour is a somewhat fizzy reddish brown with a bit of highlighting around the edges. Head dies down fairly quickly to a film on the surface. Aromas are sour and vinegar-like. Flavor is so wonderfully sour. Lick your lips after a sip and you can taste the acidity... Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected and at times it seems a bit watery, but then it smacks you with a big wave of sourness that just makes you want more. The actual flavors that are working together are... lemon peel, apple cider vinegar, wood, tart cherries, etc. I’m glad that I have this all to myself tonight.

Jul 18, 2008 PIB, tap... Poured burgundy with an off-white head. Potent, sour, wine-like aroma. Feels like a lemon warhead in the mouth (remember those!). Very satisfying and delicious. It’s aggressive in the mouth but makes you want more and more.

Jul 16, 2008 Bottle (thanks Phil_L). this was great!!! Initial tart sourness in the nose. Some vinegar, and iron and blood in the aroma. palate is tart, and quite dry in the finish. With some beautiful well balanced acidity. Some nice oaky, light vanilla notes also come through. Flavour seems to go on forever. Finish is dry sour/tart. Very good indeed!
