Beaver (508), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Dec 15, 2006 750 ml bottle, caged and corked. Bottle # 05-4260, purchased 7/3/06. Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin off-white head that quickly diminishes to a wispy collar that has some legs.

The aroma is peppery wood, fruits, a tart acidic sourness and some sweet-tarts.

The flavor is a little sweet fruitiness quickly followed by a huge mouth-puckering sourness - kind of like the sour sweet-tarts. The mouthfeel is medium to full and low on carbonation, but what little there is is pretty sharp and zings the back of the throat.

Overall, a very nice sour ale! It’s different and not for everyone, but is quickly addicting. It has much more in your face sourness than the Panil.
HarvestrOfBeer (5), , Washington, USA does not count Jan 3, 2009 Bottle obtained from the local Safeway, of all places. Distinct "wine" aroma upon uncorking. Cloudy dark amber in color. Thin mouth feel with a distinct sour bite at first. Lots of fruit flavors. This would rock with a serious ploughman’s cheese board. alexanderj (1501), San Diego, California, USA Jan 1, 2009 Bottle thanks to golubj in San Francisco. Color of copper with an off white head. Aroma of fruit, cherries, oak, with hints of earth and vinegar. Flavor was pretty solid, and probably my favorite of these three sours. Palate was perhaps better, for some reason. Has alot of lemon, oak and cherries in it. fishingnet (1001), Brandon, Florida, USA Dec 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sour cherries, oak, spicy brett, vinegar, and some earthy notes. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and moderate to stong amount of acidity. Very good. Naka (496), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 28, 2008 Courtesy of Juart. Pours a deep slightly hazy copper color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is a sour medicinal cherry. The flavor is a little earthy and it seems like it will start sweet, but the sour cuts through quickly. Very mineraly with some fruity funk. The body is thin and it is sort of strangely refreshing. Leaves a very sour flavor on the palate. Rciesla (1571), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 28, 2008 Bottle 3 years old enjoyed in 2008. Pours an amber beer with an off white head. Sour fruity esters, a light woodiness with a salty berry flavor. awesome beer with a light mouthwatering acidity.
