this is a sour beast... OldMrCrow (1193), Seattle, Washington, USA

Mindblowing amarillo dry-hop aroma thickly layered with oak atop a funk sour. Rarely have a had a beer generate this sort of anticipation with its aroma. But sadly, the taste comes in strange given the expectation that the nose creates. Basically, this seems a failed experiment. I get a funky heavy unpleasantness to the flavor; flemish-style overly sweet-and-sour, fumes burning up into the nose. I’d inhale any time, and admittedly this is a very different, ambitious beer...but a not beer that I particular want to drink. Head to head against the Lost Abbey Yellow Bus, this one is not even close to in the running., AmEricanbrew (1860), Washington DC, USA

Nice oak wood lemon funky smell. Taste is big tart funk at first then a tart fruity lemon yeasty wood flavor to finish. Not as sour as the La Folie but just as tasty. Aroma of complex tart light fruits and pale biscuity malt with some leather and cheesy funk. Body starts with a hint of sweetness and lots of oaky cherry tartness and funky complexity toward a drier, earthy tart finish. A very nice brew. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
