Bottle shared by psprings at hellbilly’s holiday tasting. Batch 1. Clear golden amber pour with a small foamy head. Aroma is malt, sour berries, a bit of vinegar and citrus. Flavor is nicely sour with lots of berries and funk. Pretty good stuff. Thanks Paul!

On tap at Sheffield’s. Sweet nail-polish aroma, full of bright tangerines, some creaminess as well. Harshly acidic, crisp, bright, acetone, great tangerine flavor towards the finish, very harshly acidic, but I like that =p. Medium bodied, sugary, very sharp crisp fine sizzling carbonation. Love the aftertaste.

RBSG 07. Hazy orange, white carbonation. Very acetic, vinegar like sour. Plenty of earthy barn funk and hay, also. Medium body, balanced. Too acetic for my tastes, but a great funky sour. Would love to see this bottled regularly. From notes.

FoBAB. Pour is cloudy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is mostly funky and sour with notes of grass, lemon, and a very tiny touch of hop. Flavor starts very sour with a very light sweetness underneath. The finish is as funky as it gets, bordering on spoiled flavor. Even more funky than I remember from past years. It does note in the pamphlet that this version is 3.5 year old aged wild beer that has been dry hopped and cellared for 2 more years. So I guess it’s the same beer year after year, just older. And it did taste that way. You might be thinking I did not like it, but I actually loved it. One more year may be too many though. I hope I get to find out.

On tap at Stone Bistro. Hazy golden color with a nice white head that fades to a ring. Aroma has some hops and malt but is dominated by funky, lemony tartness. Flavor is pale malt, tart lemony funk, earth, oak, and floral hops. Really prickly and lively on the palate with medium body and a dry, acidic finish. Very solid overall.

Tap at Choice City Deli - served in a pint glass, of all things - anyway - poured a very hazy, glowing orange - this beer was extremely acetic, but a lot of citrus and peach tanginess made it a lot easier to tolerate - quite sour, with soft oakiness and mild wild character behind the initial vinegar punch - light hop compliments the notes of citrus very well - funkiness comes through even more in the finish - a little less acetic character would be nice, but this is damn good.

Pours a golden yellow. Nose is funky, citrus, floral hops. Taste is sour, lots of nice brett funk, oaky earthiness, lemon, apples, herbs and spices, yeast, and more funk.
