Commercial Description:
Adam’s Ale is a nicely balanced, highly drinkable lager which combines a generous amount of Noble hops with a smooth, malty sweetness. (Note: The name and description were taken directly from the brewery, which described the beer as a lager despite "Ale" in the name.)

On tap at the brewery at 7/18/09. Pours clear gold, bubbly head. Lavendar and orange aroma. A weird unique bitterness in the flavor which carries through to the finish and a touch of sourness made my tongue pucker.

On tap at New Belgium poured a clear golden amber with a lasting off white head. Aromas of bread dough, light fruittiness and noble hops. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread, straw and noble hops with a smooth dry finish.

On tap at brewery. Poured a clear golden color with a very thin white head that left light lacing. A light aroma of sweet fruit and hops. Has a light sweet flavor with some spicy hops and a touch of caramel. A light to medium body with a crisp clean finish. A decent lighter flavored beer.

(Draught at New Belgium brewery) Pours a pale yellow with little to no head, but good lacing. Nose has toasted grains and is fruity. Odd for a lager but nice. Taste is much of the same. Crisper than expected, but not bitter at all like most lagers have. This was smooth, fruity, nice yeast characteristics with a great finish. If all lagers tasted like this they wouldn’t be rated as low as they are. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Draft at SBV. Pours a thin head over a slightly cloudy yellow (SRM 2-3) body.....nose is light spicey hops....taste is somewhat spicy with a sweetish finish.....mouth feel is medium. This is somewhat different from other California Commons i have had.

Growler. Clear golden colored body, highly effervescent, trails of large bubbles rapidly rising the insides of the glass - looks like ginger ale. Bright and focused nose of red apple skins, sharp/dried hops and minerally yeast (honey as well). Effervescent and bubbly on the tongue. Sharp and full texture, pretty much spot on for the kind of bite expected in cali. common beer. Wonderfully drinkable pseudo-lager.
