Too bad it is retired. This is/was a great beer. You still find it around every now and then -- in which case, drink it! Yup. It’s sour. Very sour. All the better to make the peach come through with.

Draught at Brouwer’s. Damn this had a nice fruity peach aroma. The peach wasn’t the main aroma, but you could definitely tell there was peach in the beer. Nice aromatic brew. Nice peach gold appearance. Beer is fairly transparent. Nice tart aroma as well. I think the peach and tart aroma work well together. The flavor is delicious. Nice tart and sour flavor along with a subtle fruit peach backing. Damn this thing is smooth. I wasn’t expecting much, but that sour kick (in terms of flavor) are extremely impressive. Very happy to have tried.

FOBAB 2009- tap. pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of peaches, cream, tart lemon, funk, cobwebs, and earth. Some dry fruity tartness. pretty good, but takes a back seat to love and lychee in the new belgium sour lineup.

FoBAB 2009 (tap): Slightly hazy golden hue with a fizzy white head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of lactic acid, peach fruit and pits, slight funk, mineral water, and a touch of herbal esters. The taste is tart and slightly fruity with a touch of clean oak, Got some mineral, earth, and herbal qualities as well. The finish seems a tad muted, no kick. The mouth feel is lively and refreshing. I am not a fan of peach beers in general but this one is well made.

On draft at Sheffield’s. Pours a clear golden yellow with a very fine fizzy white head. Aroma is actually quite nice, works for me, lactic peach without being over the top yogurty, actually quite sharp, fairly sweet, reminds me of peach-o’s, Flavor is not quite as good as the aroma, really nice sharp acidic and lactic at first with a really nice sour peach twang, really tastes like peach-o’s, which is awesome, then it becomes overly sweet and sugary, cloying almost and the sourness disappears. Medium bodied, fine fizzy carbonation that is crisp and sharp, however then it becomes sticky and syrupy which is off-putting. Definitely worth another try.

draft at Stone Brewery, pale cloudy yellow mildy tangerine color, thin white head, aroma is tartness, flavor is quite tart and sour, peach flavors are not very evident, bugs must have ate all the fruit, I enjoy the quality of the sours and the intensity of the sours, this is not the overwhelming geuze style that I’ve had many times over that are sometimes difficult to swallow more than 6 ounces of, this was quite drinkable and went well with the tikka masala I ate with it, good stuff!

Pours a hazy dolden peach/yellow. Nose is big on the peach, fruits, yeast, slight tart nose. Taste is lesser on the peach, nice carbonation makes the fruitness bounce around and avoids sweetness, nice brett dryness, tart fruits, and stone fruits

On tap at GABF 2009. Hazy golden color with a small but lasting white head. Aroma is funk and tart light fruits, peach especially. Flavor is very good with tart peaches, funk, and citrus, orange especially. Palate has medium acidity for a sour and is not too mouth-puckering. Body is medium. Overall very good.

sample from the pitcher at GABF on 9/26/09... I didn’t see another Eric’s entry... but I don’t remember hearing about Peach - hope this is in the right place)... pours a light golden... slight sour nose... medium body with citrus notes... somewhat tart finish... very drinkable sour - almost a bit mild.
