desurfer (1030), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Jul 5, 2008 Draft at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver. Pours a hazy peach with a small ring of foam floating on top. Nice lacing. Aroma is sour and fruity with a touch of peach/apricot twang. Flavor is more of the same, with the sourness taking center stage and the peach adding a nice fruit character but not taking over. Alcohol is not noticeable. Interesting take on a fruit beer; it almost takes a step into lambic territory.
dpjuart (549), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 19, 2008 On tap at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver, 8/11/08. Pours orange with white head. Apple vinegar and bready, sourdough nose. Sour apple, pear, tart vinegar, slight sourdough, biscuit and some more sour pear. Fantastic. BrotherGrendel (47), San Diego, California, USA Aug 12, 2008 On draft at O’Brien’s. Appearance is dark amber hue, fair amount of white head sustains, minimal lacing. Smell is dominated by sour/tart/funk, light fruits, citrus, and vinegar. Taste is light fruits (pears, apricots, peaches) initially, sour tartness in the middle dominates and lingers well into the finish, simple but strong flavors challenge the tastebuds. Palate is medium-bodied, light watery texture, moderate carbonation. Overall a nice wild farmhouse ale that is not as extreme as other types from this category, very approachable even to non-sour fans, great overall balance. dalekliz (151), San Diego, California, USA Aug 10, 2008 On tap at the Liar’s Club. Hazy amber with a white ring. Strong sour aroma, very fruity. Taste is a great combination of tart and sweet, the peach comes through really nicely. Light lingering sweet tartness. Really tasty and very drinkable. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Sketchy notes from Toronado, thanks to hopscotch for sharing. From tap Toronado. On tap at Toronado. Pours a golden copper color, with a shiny film of a head, decent wet lacing. Funky aromas, tart, hay and straw, cherries and maybe some peach. Nice tart beginning to the flavor. Dark fruit, wheat, yeasty, honey, some corn. Not a lot of peach here. Sweet finish, seems like a mead at times.
