On tap at New Belgium. Spiced porter, with ginger and cinammon. Poors very dark with a light tan head. A strong ginger intial smell with very little ginger bite. A cinammon after taste. Very good beer.

22 oz bottle. Pours a semi transparent brown/black with a big tan head. The aroma on this thing is what I like to call "breakfasty". You get notes of cinnamon and ginger in there. The flavor is just as wonderful as the aroma. It has the breakfasty thing going on here too, but also I pick up a slight licorice flavor to it. Excellent beer! Nice job Jessica!

Pours a deep reddish brown. Not much head and just a ring after it settles down. Not much lacing either. Light roasted coffee ( similar to my favorite city+ roasts) and some smoke. Tiny bit of fruitiness emerges with some warmth. Reminds me of Worcestershire. Crazy blend of sweet malts, smoke, hops. Spices are on the finish with a good nutty aftertaste. aftertaste is the best part, really enjoyed just letting it sit and roll off. silky carbonation. Medium mouth feel. Alcohol warmth sneaks in a bit but does not numb. This has winter warmer written all over it. A bit to complex and unusual to session but makes a good "sip and ponder".

tap. interesting beer. nice dark body with a decent head. aroma was hard to place. almost none of the expected chocolate, it was there, but very low key. something floral that i couldn’t name. the flavor was nice, pine and something floral that woke me up. sweet but balanced with a spice or hop that worked well. enjoyable enough that i ordered a 2nd pint. made a quick transition from the initila taste of sugary sweet light cocoa to a powdery floral spice with a lingering pine like taste.

Huge thanks to thejoeshow, for sharing these gems! Pours a medium roast coffee black. Definate cinnamon, ginger, milk chocolate, light torpical fruits as well as a touch of oaky smokiness. Palate is a little thin with the cinnamon and coffee smokiness coming through. The palate is not bad with a nice oaky smokiness drying out the finish. Nice, but not as good as some of the other LOF beers.

Had this on tap at the brewery in a 4oz sampler glass. Dark brown with reddish overtones. Had a slightly sweet aroma with a hint of sourness. Could pick up the cinnamon and ginger in the smell and the taste. Also reminded me of raisins. Had their trademark belgian yeast taste to it that I’ve detected in their others like Fat Tire and 1554. Smooth mouth feel. Milder in taste than their Abby. Very subtle. Good sipping beer for a quiet moment.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear dar brown with red highlights and a lasting tan head. Aromas of smoke, fruittiness, coffee, cocoa and light roastiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, smoke, figs and light roastiness with a smooth lingering semi sweet finish.
