Nov 6, 2009 Tap at Sheffields night before Fobab... Pours a golden murky orange brown with a quickly dissipating soapy head... Aroma is very gueuze like with a good degree of funkiness, must, old socks, and cheese. Very solid nose with lighter cherry notes but the funk dominates... Smooth flavors of Belgian like gueuze with mild funk qualities lemony citrus and very light on the cherries. So much less acidic and biting than tart lychee. Drinks very well and quite good actually.

Oct 26, 2009 Labeled Love Barrel #3 at sour fest.
Pours a hazy sunset orange.
Nose is the obvious oak, nice summer fruits and stone fruits.
Taste is fantastic, lots of fruits, peaches, lemon, strawberry, pineapple and grapefruit with a strong sour punch. Oak adds an earthiness that keeps it from being too fruity and balances well.

Sep 27, 2009 On tap at Stone Sourfest 09. Hazy orange pour. Sour and tart aroma, with some lemon and other citrus. Flavor is a lot of tartness up front, then follows up with a great funk.

Aug 29, 2009 Love barrel #13 on tap at Beachwood. Appears darker gold, verging on tangerine orange. Aroa is of lemon and other firm citrusy tart flavors. There is some funk that creates a wonderful swirl of sour flavors. Flavor strikes the palate clear, with sharp acidity. Citrus peel notes might be what keeps Love tasting bright, and almost “hoppy.” Finishes dry, with distinct funky notes. This was my favorite sour on the night!

Aug 28, 2009 I had this on tap at Beachwood BBQ’s sourfest.
I really enjoyed this beer. Hazy yellow pour with a nice complexity of tangy, tart and fruity flavors.

Aug 27, 2009 On tap @ Beachwood BBQ. Cleargolden amber with a small off-white head. Lots of lemon and grapefruit rinds in the nose with some light hay and caramel buttery sweetness behind, though doesn’t seem to me like diacetyl. Flavor follows suit with a dry finish, sourness peaking around a 4-5. Light body with light to moderate prickly carbonation. Quite tasty.

Aug 27, 2009 Hazy copper/orange color with a white head. Nice tart cherry lemon, vanilla wood cinnamon aromas; lots to take in here. Medium tart throughout with sour cherry and lemon, with some vanilla and wood to temper some of the tartness. Very good. Draft@ Brouwers

Aug 21, 2009 On tap at 2009 Stone Sour Fest. On of my favorites of the fest. Yellow amber color. Sour lactic lemony aroma and taste. Excellent.
