Draft at Stumbling Monk. Large head. Deep orange color with maybe a bit of amber. Hazy. Aroma was citrus, tart, yeast, brett. Taste was a big sweet flavor, peach, unripe pineapple, sour, dry grapefruit finish, very centered around the sour(exactly what I like in a sour). Great beer!

stone sour ale fest 09, barrel #3. Golden orange pour. Vinegar, tart cherries, citrus, oak, and some honey sweetness. A really nice sour. Interesting to taste the base beer for the other great sours.

Stone Sour Fest barrel #3. Cloudy golden orange. Really big nose, big funk, horse blanket. Citrus fruit up front, big funky presence, finishes earthy/dirty/musty. There’s also a sweetness to this brew that adds some complexity, making it a really great sour.

Tap @ Stone Sour Fest 2009. Another awesome sour from New Belgium. Pours a hazy deep golden orange with a thin off white ring. Some light vinegar on the nose as well as tart citrus fruits and a touch of oak. Flavor held oak, vinegar, tart orange and lemon peel .

Stone Sour Fest barrel #3. Hazy orange yellow. Champagne bubbles. Smoky tart nose. Deep tart and leather. Big sweet taste. Big tart thunk. Dark and full in the mouth. First flavor splashes bright and light at the end. Some honey and citrus show up to the party. Great brew.

Sampled at the 2009 Stone Sour Festival. New Belgium did not dissapoint with the samples of beers they provided to the event. You could definetly detect the begginings of all the good beers this one lends itself too. Loved the wood, sour fruits.

Barrel # 3 at the Stone Sourfest. Pours with a very small head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of pineapple, leather, brett, lacto and oak. Taste is sour, vinegar, brett, acid, pineapple citric-sour. Medium to high carbonation. Lots of stomach acid here...very nice.

Tap at Stone Sour 09. This puppy was an ordeal: hands-down the most hot, stratospherically sour beer I have ever had and that includes 3F Vintage Geuze. Nose is like hot peppers without the spice, just the heat. Also strawberry and citrus, but soured. Flavor is hot like stomach acid and pickles. Wow. Just keeps coming in rings and waves. Gives way to a green apple juiciness, but keeps all previous impact. Really unreal.
