Tap at 2009 Stone Sour Fest. Love Barrel #3. Pours a brown gold. Sweet oak, Brett tart, almost Gueze-like, sweet tartness. Real nice.

Tap @ Stone Sour Fest listed as Love Barrel #3. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and fruity with some apricot, and its quite tart. Taste is sweet, tart, rich fruitty and overall sublime, so happy to finally have this.

Tasted at Stone Sour Fest. Hazy orange with no head. Barn yard funk and dry straw aroma. Sweet. tart pear and sour apple taste with an acidic finish.

On tap at Collins. Pours cloudy orange with a thick pale yellow head. Aroma of lemons, with a dot of sour cherry. This is a seriously sour beer, like oak-aged lemon juice. I like this, but I’m not crazy about it, A bit too sour to be really enjoyable.

I mean seriously. What an appropriately named beer. The bracing wood soaked tart aroma makes me smile and proud to have such a moment. Really. Sublime complexity, fresh and pure with each new sip. I want to get a growler and see if I can ever get tired of it. Sharp powerful citrus, pain in my jaw, rush of endorphins. Magical.

On tap at Malt & Vine. pours an attractive orange with ruby hues. Nice cream head with great lacing. Nice citrus aroma with hints of currants and cherries. Great complex sour taste that hits with a nice sweet and sour start, leading to a strong sour finish. Well balanced, though not sure how many my tastebuds could handle.

Left over from the Brouwer’s sour ale fest. Poured a dark orange with a thick off-white head. The aroma really wasn’t what I was expecting - soapy vinegar, with some tart citrus. The flavor came through in a bigger way, with peach, apple, and fuzzy apricot - it’s a very warm-flavored brew, with a wet mouthfeel and a vibrant carbonation. It doesn’t hold a candle to Le Terroir. Interesting, but underwhelming, and a bit too tart in a way that wasn’t exactly refreshing.

On tap at Brouwer’s Sour Fest. Pours mostly clear dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is sour cherry/apple and vinegar with a little bit of honey. Taste starts sour and becomes slightly earthy with a cookie maltiness. Very smooth with a tart, slightly malty finish.
