| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Reviewed 4/7/2009 (Bottle BB 03JUL09):
Pours a very clear, orange-yellow colored body. Big creamy white head, very lasting. Strong sweet grapefruity aroma, some dryness and effervescence. Strong pine. Piney fruity sweet nutty taste. Dry nutty aftertaste. Almost sickly mouthfeel. Softer and lighter as it warms up. Somewhat mild tasting. buckyp (32), Rio Rancho, New Mexico, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Light yellow. Not much of a head. Little to no lacing. Somewhat hoppy aroma but flavor disappointed. Just so-so for me. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Thanks to rustychiles for grabbing me one of these. Pours a nice light amber with a humongous head that pretty much leaves entirely...strange. Aroma is of huge American hoppiness...however, the taste does not back it up, which is somewhat disappointing. The high carbonation takes away from it somewhat. Nice sweet malty taste with a little bit of hop taste. Definitely not bad, but not spectacular either. If it were a regular on tap next to Sam Adams etc. I’d still pick it. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Pours clear copper / amber with a fluffy soapy head. The aroma is lightly toasty, a bit soapy, clean floral hops, perfume, light pine and a touch of peach. Medium clean crisp body that has an abundance of smooth soft carbonation that gives it a fuller mouthfeel on the finish. The flavor starts with the aroma traits that’s maltier at first, then the hops come up front, but there is always a balance. The finish has a lot of floral hops. Nice. gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Had this one bottled, from Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Bright and clear golden yellow pour with a nice, thick eggshell white head, a nice and floral nose with hints of bready maltiness, complexity in the flavor, certainly citrusy hops, orange and lemon peel, bread continues throughout, a hint of caramel sweetness and some candi sugar, and finishes with a nice, dry piney note. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear gold with a 3 finger creamy off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is malt and floral hops. The taste is malt and citrus hops with some tart citrus in the finish. Medium bodied. Not bad at all – better than expected. topherh (936), Kearney, Missouri, USA
