Commercial Description:
MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kim’s Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasn’t patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didn’t like. Atta girl Arrow.

Pours a clear pale orange with a small head. Smell of citrus, grass, hint of caramel, some floral, and finally malt. taste of malt, caramel, citrus, roasted nuts, a hop or two. overall easy to drink, taste is okay, refreshing on a warm day.

Pours a clear orange with a very thick, dense white head leaving a very nice striated lacing and is moderately carbonated . Aroma is strong grapefruit citrus and semi-piney hops with a light caramel malt background. Flavor has a very nice pine background with grapefruit over the top of it and a light sweet malt and light wheat background. Typical New Belgium yeast flavor is there as well making for a very smooth and clean tasting beer. Overall, it is definitely worth a look.

Clear light orange, sticky crackled glass lacing from the white head. Big grapefruit, floral hop aroma. Nice caramel, crystal maltiness a bit thin and a finish of pine and grapefruit citrus hops.

Fresh tasting. Smells strongly of flowery hops, but not overly bitter taste.crisp and refreshing. It’s a shame it’s only available seasonally. Wish I could have this more often.

Bottle from BevMo in Fairfield. Light copper color with a decent fizzy white head. Aroma of mild hop. Not much else. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. I have no clue what the flavor is. More herbal than hop. Or maybe it’s floral/citrus but not so floral. The finish is kind of cat box, so I’ll go with citrus. Way weird for a pale ale.

Bottle from 7/11. Smells kinda hoppy, but the flavor leaves a lot to be desired. I guess for what it is, it’s OK. Better than some of the other generics they put out. Will probably go over well with those that want to venture out from Fat Tire. For 9 bones a 6’er, it’s not something I’ll be getting often as it sat right next to the Sierra Nevada PA. But, fuggit, had to give it a shot.

I’ve been pretty worn out on New Belgium latley, but this here..... this drank pretty good. I too was presented this as an IPA, which was indeed a lie. It pours a clear golden color with a decent head and a good lace. It smells kind of stinky at first, sort of a cheeeeeese aroma, after that it has all the noral citrus and floral aromas, in some abundance at that. The flavor is as expected, particularly citrusy, but with a nice blance and some candy sweetness. This is certinally something I will pick up on sale. Belive that.

The barmaid told me this was an IPA. Not so much. I knew by the color that she was wrong. Still, not a bad drink. Some hoppy overtones with a nice pine-floral flavor make this palatable to hop-heads when an IPA is not to be found.
