| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a copper golden color with a small frothy white head. The aroma is very hoppy with grapefruit and pine. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is sweet fruit with a crisp finish. Easy to drink, a very good pale ale from New Belgium. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Smells Hoppy sweet, kind of like a hop fruit. Not like a grapefruit, literally like a Hop fruit, if one existed. Color is light orange with a small head. Tastes of fizzy paleness, with a full bodied mouthfeel.
Good.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours an average golden yellow with an aroma of buttery, bitter grapefruit and sweet bread. Flavor is a dull grapefruit with a rounding out of sweet strawberry and pine. Refreshing. Average mouthfeel. I could drink more of this. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Golden colored ale. Bold hops in the nose seem well utilized. Unfortunately, they don’t have the brightness I prefer and a bit too grassy and medicinal. Cracker-like malts, pine-like hops. Fresh. A lot to like in this example of Pale Ale. Well balanced, clean and well bittered. beastiefan2k (1603), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Updated: Feb 4, 2009Best before May 15, 2009. 12 oz bottle poured into a New Belgium glass, you know, to go with the theme. Pours with almost no head, just a but of lacing and a completely clear dark amber color. Aroma is green and vine-like hops with a bit of bubblegum sweet hops as well. Taste is very clean with just a hint of residual sweetness and lots of neutral, earthy hoppiness. Aftertaste has a bit of cereal to it and some bitterness to round it off. Its a basic APA, works well when it is fresh.
Pulled another bottle out of the six pack, poured with a large head when I was a bit less careful with the pour yet used the same exact glass. steview (902), Los Angeles, California, USA
