Clear amber with a thin off-white quickly fading application of foam. Aroma is very vegetal with some caramel and light citrus to go with it. Taste of mild citrus hops, cornstalk, light caramel malt and mild fruitiness. Reminds me more of an amber than a pale ale as not a lot of flavor going on and the bitterness is on the very low end. cbkschubert (2027), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Shaver served at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL. Poured a clear, deep gold with a foamy, off white, lasting head and thick, sheeting lace. The aroma was primarily fresh pine and resiny notes with some secondary citrus. The flavor was not the hoped for intensity of the nose, but a mellower version with smooth malt and decent hop bitterness. Refreshing, but a conventional APA.
