Commercial Description:
MIGHTY ARROW Pale Ale provides lots of pleasurable sniffs from Amarillo and Cascade hops with a fetching honey malt base. This is our brewed tribute to Arrow, Kim’s Aussie/Border Collie mix who ran (literally) New Belgium for 12 years. When she wasn’t patrolling the brewery grounds, she was famous for her office visits: She never met a tummy rub she didn’t like. Atta girl Arrow.

Bottle from "all-grain" Duane, thanks! Clear amber with a thin off-white quickly fading application of foam. Aroma is very vegetal with some caramel and light citrus to go with it. Taste of mild citrus hops, cornstalk, light caramel malt and mild fruitiness. Reminds me more of an amber than a pale ale as not a lot of flavor going on and the bitterness is on the very low end.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear amber color with a one and a 1/4 finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is herbal hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened toasted malt, and herbal and light floral hops. Hops are noticeable in the finish, but it’s fairly smooth. Light to medium body. A pleasant beer.

Draft at Flying Saucer’ Memphis. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable session beer.

Shaver served at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL. Poured a clear, deep gold with a foamy, off white, lasting head and thick, sheeting lace. The aroma was primarily fresh pine and resiny notes with some secondary citrus. The flavor was not the hoped for intensity of the nose, but a mellower version with smooth malt and decent hop bitterness. Refreshing, but a conventional APA.

Tap, at New Belgium. Pale copper, clean white head. Citrus nose with a bit of animal quality, blackberry. Cinnamon earthy quality layered with the more familiar citrus hop flavors. Very bright, delicate and clean. A pleasantly different sort of APA.
