Smells strongly of flowery hops, but not overly bitter taste.crisp and refreshing. It’s a shame it’s only available seasonally. Wish I could have this more often. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2009 Updated: May 2, 2009Very clear gold, lumpy white froth has a sandy texture and good retention. Attractive lace. Dank, citric/grapefruit hop aroma; some pine and lychee. Flavor is the same with some toasty malt, baby corn, and a Pinotage smokiness. Nuances of lavender soap, pineapple juice and iodine. Average mouthfeel. Tingly herbal aftertaste hints at sagebrush and chopped sumac. I’d prefer it to be a little more crisp and a lot less funky. Interesting. Extra point for being a tribute to mans’ best friend. Bockyhorsey (2554), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle. Good floral aroma. Golden body with good white head and good cover of lacing left on glass. Flavor was rather light but on the finish a grassey lemon flavor was present and that dry hop bitter aftertaste on the palate. Beer seemed to have a lot going on interesting brew. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Crystal clear gold with a fluffy topping of foam was created from a most generous pour. Nose hints to suggestions of grassy hops and a perfect background of malt. The flavor is subdued and a bit on the bland side, although still maintaining a bitter hop bit that will last for the session of a six pack. smashteroid (251), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2009 not a bad pale ale, and not much to boast about either. It’s light bodied and hoppy, but doesn’t present any of the boldness of many superior like-brews. Good hop aroma, bland golden color, citrus notes also in flavor. mrhoppy (224), Santa Clara, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Think of a hoppier Fat Tire but a lighter body. Not as malty or nutty. Very good. Very drinkable. I would have preferred just a bit more hoppy. Nice aroma like Fat Tire. scooterbub (386), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent, foamy white head. Taste is of hops, citrus, grass, pine and some malt. Similar aroma. Has a nice slightly creamy mouthfeel. Easy to drink, refreshing and quite enjoyable. Worth picking up again. mar (1972), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Gold pour with a thin white head. Nose is fresh citrusy hops and malts. Not bad on the palate with a fairly light hoppy with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad for a session beer.
