It has a good cascade aroma nice caramel sweetness slight note of honey. A little on the soft side for a Pale Ale, nice mild bitterness and modest sweetness. I could drink this beer often and in mass quantity. My favorite from New Belgium so far. moelikebeer (89), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a medium head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of herbal hops as well as sweet malt and caramel. Similar flavor with a nice carbonation. Pours clear bright copper with a thick and lacy white head. Aroma of earth and citrus. Medium body and carbonation. Citrus, apple and toffee taste with a bit of bitterness, grass and touch of tartness in the finish. It held up well against the barbecue.
