Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy color with medium sized bubbly white head. Color is the typical pale malt, faint yellow color you get with most Belgian Whites. Aroma is the usual coriander and orange peel. Everything is well balance with the taste as well, however, it does have a bit of a tangy finish. It’s not bad, but if tamed just a tad, this would be even better. For $3.49 for a bomber, this is a great summer beer. Excellent.

Glow-in-the dark yellow with a filmy white head. I like the appearance of wit beers a lot. Spicy, fruity smell with a zesty, slightly peppery flavor. I wonder where that spicy/pepper comes from, coriander? Mouthfeel seems just right. Drinkability is ok as I probably wouldn’t drink more than one in a setting. Athens, Ga. - Five Points Bottle Shop - 22 oz bomber. Pours a very murky yellow - kind of "specimen" looking with a soft white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of lemon and coriander. Flavor is very tangy with some lemony accents, some yeast and some back end spiciness. A bit too tangy though, but still quite refreshing on a hot summer evening.

Bottle. 22 oz. Frothy white head that slowly disappears above a hazy, pale straw body. The aroma is light with hints of floral hops, lemon, coriander, toasted grain and dust. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes just a little less sweet. Light to medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Passable, but not as clean and crisp as Hoegaarden.

One of the best belgian whites I have had. Better than hoegarden. Pours a cloudy yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. Had the traditional belgian coriander and orange peel smell and taste. Damn good. Everyone in my area is going crazy over Fat Tire but this beer kicks the hell out of Fat Tire.

Pale straw colour with thick white head. Big fruity esters on the nose. Thin body but hint of corriander.
