Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Appearance: straw to light gold; moderate cloudiness; close to prototype Aroma: faint vanilla; possibly honey (might be a stretch); light, grainy wheat; lacks concentration; seems mediocre; lacks zestiness Flavor: mild vanilla, honey flavor, but lacks stronger citrus coriander that should be present for beers in this style; lacks crispness and zestiness; bland Mouthfeel: medium-light body; not substantial enough to have enough creaminess; lacks carbonation, zip, refreshingness and acidity Conclusion: the appearance is about the only thing that this beer has going in its favor

22 oz - Lightly hazed yellow, creamy white head. Coriander and orange zest aromas ride soft waves of florals and yeast. Spiced flower notes balance on flavors of orange bread from start to finish. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, floral spiced finish. For a session wit, I thought this was absolutely one of the best I’ve had. Perfect summer beer in my book. Going against the grain here and saying don’t let the low scores turn you away...

Had it bottled. Strong zest and floral taste, a little overpowering. Earthy. Not the best by New Belgium.

I want head! Where’s my head, dammit! Nice looking beer colourwise - solid and thick lemony heavily cloudy brew. But I got almost no cap and I poured the last 1/4 agressively to help out the cause. Leaves a skim of white froth and some ropy but slipery lacing. There’s a handful of random shaped sediment bits. Dammit, Killswitch Engage came on streaming radio - the ulitmate cheesebag metal act...The aroma is pleasant with its orangy citrus and spice and herbal (faint) smells blended with a good wheat / malt mix. A bit of pepper is tossed in to - more noticable when warmer. Hey, there’s a thing floating around at the top that kind of looks like that chicken umbilical cord that you remove with surgical precision with your egg shell halves. Taste is pretty good, but after just having the New Belguim Sunshine this is not as enjoyable....now Iced Earth is playing - break out your 37 sided dice! More spices, pepper, tartness and citrus flavour. Wheat too. Needs some more appealing qualities to separate from the masses. Near medium bodied. So-so carbonation, fairly smooth and tart. Finishes dry and quick. Uninspiring.

Lovely aroma of wheat, spices. Color is transparent yellow, pours frothy, sizable head. Bitter up front, with smooth wheat flavor to follow. Thin body and carbonation, with a remarkably smooth finish. Overall, the first "organic" witbier I’ve had, and I have to say, not too bad, not too bad at all. Very drinkable

"Bomber Bottle" purchased at Schnucks in Champaign, Illinois consumed in a tumbler glass. Cloudy yellow color with little head. Aroma of lemon and wheat. Taste of citrus, floral, and light spice. Light body and easy on the palate. I could consume a number of these in one session. A good beer on a warm day.

Pour a cloudly golden yellow with a thin off-white head. aroma of light wheat, lemon, and yeast. flavor is very crisp and very citrusy with lemon and orange. flavor also include bannana and clove. has a nice mix of spices as well. mouthfeel is light and refreshing. overall, a decent beer to drink on hot summer days.
