Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

A really nice beer to waste away a lazy Sunday California afternoon. Mid 80’s, a cool Delta breeze coming off the southwest, Celtics playing on the tube and a slew of New Belgium beer in the ’fridge. The beer pours out a rather light yellow hue, a touch hazy with a smaller sized 1" white head. Reminded me a bit of Mt. Dew in my glass. Aroma has some nice touches of banana, tangerine, a touch spicy (cloves?) and some sweetness (first thought of cotton candy). Flavor has some gripping biscuit malts, wheat notes, citrus, cloves and light honey. Smooth and easy to enjoy and consume.

Bomber. Pours a hazy, straw yellow body with a decent sized rocky, white head. Smells of doughy yeast, wheat malt and hay. Citrus and clove are also present in the aroma profile. Light bodied with lively carbonation with a spicy, coriander filled finish. Overall: light, crisp, clean, refreshing. Solid, but nothing special.

Bottle pours hazy golden with a thin white head. Aroma is yeast and citrus. First taste is spice and yeast. Finish is citrus and spice with a linger of yeast.

bottle at the Rose. Very interesting brew. Poured a cloudy yellow. crisp clean front with a spicy finish. Very clear taste of clove. This looked like a light beer but it wasn’t. Maybe I drank it too cold. But I love cold beer.

Had my first experience with this beer out in Kenmore/Bothell, Washington. Nice yellow color. Not like a lemon yellow, but a soft yellow with a SLIGHT orange hue. Good looking wit if you ask me. Lovely yeast aroma, if you ask me. Nice clove, with banana. A well-rounded witbier. Is very comparable in quality to Hoegaarden. Little light on the palate at first, but it ends up being okay. Slight off-wheat flavor at the end, but overall, a great witbier if you ask me. Drastically underrated. Purchased at Greens Buford Highway.
