Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

This tasty brew could be a regular weekly "go to" beer when one is in the mood for a solid Wit

Pale straw with a short, small bubbled white head. banana and clove on the nose, alcohol and perfumey. sort of a big empty taste to it, weird, missing some backbone I think but the flavours are nice, spicy and zesty. nice and refreshing, but I feel something is missing.

I wasn’t expecting to like this beer, but I do. The relatively low rating reflects my dislike of the style more than this example. I’ve not had a wit that I’ve enjoyed as much until now. The flavour is the nicest thing - very subtle and complex spicing. I get banana (unusual in a wit), clove, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg - strange mix. It works though. So smooth and drinkable too. I’d have another and that’s a big call from this wit-hater.

Bottle: Pour on this was about as pale of a yellow that I’ve ever seen...nose is mainly a concoction of muted banana, spice, lemon and malt. Body is spritzy, refreshing. Flavor is so ridiculously watered down in all aspects...some subtle citrus and spice noted. Boring as hell.

Certainly one of the better US Wheat beers. nice spicy aroma, great colout and head retention. Flavour is good citrus and coriander, finishes a bit short, but is typical of this style of the beer

Pours a very very pale translucent gold with a creamy white head. Pear and apple aroma with requisite coriander and orange peel notes. Lots of wheat malt flavor with lemon zest and coriander. Accents of honey and grain. Flavor seems to dwindle into boringness the longer I drink it. Seltzery body and carbonation. Pretty average attempt at the style.

Slightly hazy straw pour, with a light bubbly white head that diminishes and leaves minimal retention and sparse sudsy lace. The nose has some yeast and grains in there. Flavors of lemony citrus, some zest, wheat... but the mouthfeel is too thin and lacking of substance. The finish might have some trace spices, but finishes with a sour. A bit overcarbonated, this is decent, but just doesn’t stand on its own for anything overtly special.

Not a fan at all. Tasted like I was drinking bug spray. I might give it another go in a year or two but as for now I’m not feeling this one.
