Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Not a fan at all. Tasted like I was drinking bug spray. I might give it another go in a year or two but as for now I’m not feeling this one.

A really well formed wheat beer. Citrus nose, pale straw colour. Taste is zesty citrus and malts. A really refreshing taste on a nice day.

Thanks to Sneezer for picking this up for me. Looks too light and watery, decent wit flavor but not a strong pick. Wouldn’t buy again.

Pours a pale yellow, a little darker than straw. Very much like a soft drink. Nice fluffy white head. The nose is lemon zest and orange peel with a nice spice and malt in the background. Nice spice, fruit and malt balance in the flavor. Not as crisp as I like and maybe a little bit too much carbonation but a good beer.

On draught at O’Neill’s Albuquerque. Very pale whitish color with a slight head. Well carbonated. Light mouthfeel. Light wheat flavor. Very slight, mellow spice notes. Certainly a clean wit.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass. Pour produced a cloudy yellow body, topped by small head of white foam. The aroma is a pungent, lemony-wheat aroma, in keeping with the style. Body is slightly watery, though flavorful, with a tart orange palate and crisp carbonation. This is a solid witbier, overall, that doesn’t need help from an orange slice to bring out it’s character.

On tap at Broadway Brewhouse, Nashville TN. Pours hazy, pale golden yellow in colour with bountiful head, which hangs around. Nice sweet, citrusy aroma. Similar nice flavour, with hint of coriander as well. Great Wit!

Had this on tap in the NY-NY casino in Vegas. Poured a cloudy, light golden yellow with a thin white head that lingered shortly and left little lacing. Nose was muted, but appeared to be a mild mix of hops, citrus fruits, and spices. Mouthfeel was slightly chewy, but mostly unremarkable, as was the taste. Finish was pleasant, but not much to write home about. A pleasant beer that I might enjoy more on the deck on a warm summer’s day.
