Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

From bottle, pours cloudy and straw yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma of wheat and spice, plus yeast. Flavor is sparkly and citrus, tame mineral. Finish bumps it up just a tad drier.

The beer pours a very thin yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is spicy with lots of corriander and citrus zest. the flavor is full, but thin at the same time. The spices nearly overpower the beer, though not quite. The flavor begins on a bright citrus note and finishes on a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is decent and flavorful.

Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of coriander, ginger, cookie dough. Tastes of coriander and sweet wheat. A little over the top on the spicing but good.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow, cloudy, with a thin white head. Nose is citrus and coriander, with just a bit of sourness in there. Taste is very crisp and fades quickly to an incredibly clean finish. Citrus and even vanilla up front, crisp wheat, some creamy banana from the yeast. Right in the middle of the experience, taste seems to drop off the map - incredibly clean. After a few moments, you get a bit of yeast and some coriander and spice fading back in on the palate. Sourness or funk from the nose is nowhere to be seen. Mouthfeel is creamy, with a fluffy carbonation complementing a nice, light body. A really nice summer beer, quite refreshing, though I have had a number of wits I would classify as more flavorful, and in my opinion better.

Glad to try this, courtesy of Butters. Cloudy light yellow, slight but decent head. Aroma is lightly of wheat, orange and coriander, slightly lactic. Flavor matches, nice hint of sourness really makes this refreshing on a brew day. Enjoyable, hope my wit comes out half this good.

Very cloudy yellow color with a fizzy white head. Smell is wheat, spices, malts, and yeast. Taste is pretty much the same as the smell. OK. Good on a real hot day.
