Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

bottled, nice aroma of citrus/wheat as expected, poured beautifully with mild cloudy very bright yellow with perfect white head, clean flavor of yeast and citrus with very clean finish on palate, too easy to drink one after another...

Bottle. Hazy pale body, white ehad with some nice lacing. On the nose, clove, banana, tart wheat, orange hints and some bready yeast character. Nice tart wheat flavor with some cloves and a touch of citrus. Decent mouthfeel, a little undercarbed for my taste, but a pretty nice wit.

Pours a very cloudy light yellow, almost like lemonade, with big foamy white head. Clean citrusy nose, faint belgian yeast becomes more pronounced in the flavor, and is joined with coriander, pepper, and some clove. I thought this hit the style quite fairly well.

Very light color pour. Disappointing flavor for the style. It is made for the amateur palate. Lacks the zest advertised.

Pours with little head. Straw color. Appears to be pretty thin. Taste is spicy with coriander and wheat. Feels thin in my mouth. Just a touch of hops on the end. This wouldn’t bee too bad if it had a little more body.

Pours a straw color with a fluffy white head. Waaay skunky aroma with flavors of lemon zest and pineapple. A strange brew that improves slightly as it warms, but not enough to warrant a repeat tasting.

Definitely a beer brewed with spiced. A little too spicy for my pallet but the beginning certainly brings home the point with lots of citrus. A little too light in color for what I think a wit should look like. All beer is organic when you get right down to it, so that’s not a real selling point for me.
