Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Started out as a connoisseur of cheap U.S. lagers. Many of them are pretty bad, I’ll admit. Making my way to imports and craft brews. Don’t have the money to buy imported crafts, so my experience remains mostly limited to U.S. beers. So far, this is my favorite beer!

The color of urine when you have a bladder infection, very odd for a beer. Aroma of lemon zest. Taste is reminiscent of a sour limoncello, very refreshing. Tasty, but simple, everything revolves around the lemon theme.

bottle 12 oz. - Poured very light hazy straw color with small thin head. Aroma - yeast, spices and some coriander Flavor - Initial sour lemony orange taste followed by wheat and some mild citrus. Palate - Thin and somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Good carbonation and is dry with citrus lemon aftertaste. Overall - Probably a good summer beer but not that good in the fall. Drinkable but would not buy again!

Pours a light yellow straw color with a thick white head and millions of effervescent bubbles. Nose is apricot, citrus, coriander and spices. Very creamy on the palate. Coriander is first on the tongue followed by mild bread, apricot and yeast flavors. Very smooth, no bitterness on the finish. Excellent wit beer. Good sipping beer that also pairs well with smoked or grilled salmon.

12 oz. bottle: Golden hazy pour in wide mouth glass. Decent head, leaves good lasting lace, pleasing citrisy aroma, light body. I enjoyed the citrus and wheat combination and the spice gives it just enough bite and flavor to want another. A fairly nice beer.

I think this is the first organic beer I’ve had but I could be wrong. Pours a light yellow with a decent sized head. THe smell is fruity. The taste was good and smooth but a little lacking to some other white beers I’ve had. Overall a very drinkable beer.

12oz bottle. Cloudy, straw-colored liquid with some sediment is topped with a small-medium head of white foam that leaves a messy web of lace. Aroma is lemon, clove, soil, fruity esters. Mouth is light with light carbonation. Flavor is spicy with some lemon, straw, and a very mild finish of neutral-tasting hops, slightly sour. There are actually some esters in there... Fairly refreshing, but not my thing.
