Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Very hazy yellowed-flesh color with a small, thin white head. Initial impression of aroma is lemony citrus, but turns to sweet banana, spicy clove & vanilla cookie malts. Flavor is mildly astringent & sour. Surprisingly, citrus zing is nowhere to be found, instead the flavor is highly grainy, lots of wheat and husk notes rounded out by cookie malts. Finish is slightly light & watery. Sour aftertaste, like sourdough bread. Refreshing yet not particularly exciting.

Draft, cloudy straw collor with thin white head. Aromas of lemon, wheat, cloves, light banana. Taste is slightly acidic, lemon, with hints of cloves, coriander and honey sweetness and some bready yeasts. A very good wit.

Smell is dominated by a strong yeast smell giving way to a pleasant wheat scent. Taste is light but enjoyable, a little watery. Very similar to a hefe with the banana taste. Not bad, but nothing to write home about

Pours a very pale yellow, dangerously close to the color of pee. Weak grassy aroma with hints of citrus and wheat. Taste is sweet and spicy, albeit a bit watered down. Not bad, but nothing I’d really buy again.

A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of citrus as well as lighter notes of wheat and lemon. The flavo is sweet wheaty with strong notes of coriander. The body is thin.

Pours very pale yellow with a thick white head. Big yeast aromas with hints of pear and sour apple. Big wheat flavor with hints of barnyard and a slight saltiness. Lingering sourness typical of the style. Medium body. This beer deserves better ratings than it gets.

Zesty brew! Pours a cloudy, hazey golden colour with aromas of honey, wheat coriander. Prevalent semi-sweet flavors all the way through. Creamy mouthfeel with a wonderful aroma, honey blossoms and fresh flowers. Nice bier :)

(Draft @ FS Hou): Pours a very cloudy pale yellow color, good sized head, foamy & white. Citrusy belgian aroma, banana, spice like clove. Watery taste, citrus & some spice. Weakish flavor. Eh, not a big fan or whites, but this is a decent one.
