Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Bottle from Frugal MacDoogal in Nashville. Pours a cloudy yellow with an airy white head. Aroma of lemon and belgian yeast esters. Light bodied with a thin but refreshing texture. Flavor of pale light wheat malt with a strong orange peel presence. A nice balancing residual sweetness is there as well. Clean finish with some faint tartness and acidity. Not as aggressive in spice and body as other wits, but this works in it’s favor as this one is a good thirst quencher.

Pours cloudy yellow, with a big loose white hed and and little specks of black floating around...wait...stupid dishwasher. OK, once its in a clean glass, it looks pretty much like described earlier, only without the black specks. Not much aroma, but it seems to be lot of lemon and toasty aromas. Flavor is citrusy, with some toasty, white bread notes. Not bad, the use of spices seems to rather understated.

Well, she looks okay - hazy gold with a frothy, lasting head - decent aroma of orange peel, spices, yeast, soft floral character - a little tart and lemony up front - medium-bodied, but thin-favored - very yeasty, almost bready - finishes a little bit chalky - not a lot going on here, but a nice hot weather brew, I guess - no discernible flaws, just bland.

12oz bottle. Poured a light and slightly hazy straw color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of sweaty hay, wheaty, spices, and light citrus. Tastes of citrus, spices and some wheat. Thinner body.

I just wrote me review and ratebeer decided to timeout my log in yet again...annoying. I was pleasently suprised by this beer. It’s got a great spicy, zesty, lemon taste to it. One of the better whites I’ve tasted.

22oz bottle. Pours hazy light yellow with a fluffy white head, decent retention, some lace. Smells of bread and yeast with some slight citrus. Tastes bready and light citrusy. Medium body, subdued carbonation.

Bottle, Average fizzy head with fair lacing. A light yellow cloudy body. Honestly looks like piss. Aroma has some perfume and herbs mixed together. Mild creamy texture with average carbonation. Not a bad tasting beer.
