Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

I need to be concious about judging this beer against the style, mainly because I thought that Mothership was a little boring. I remember though, that it is a wit beer, and for what it is; tastes pretty good. I drank it first in my living room at night, and was a little disapointed, but this afternoon I had it with some buddies while making beer and it was pretty good. Appearance, looks great for a wheat beer. There is not much aroma, but it smells nice and subtle. I like this beer compared to other wits in that the mouthfeel is a bit more full. There is no dry astringency that I noticed, which I like quite a bit. This is a great beer for doing anything in the sun.

Pours a light straw color with a nice sticky white foamy head. Strong aroma of wheat, coriander, banana, clove and bubble-gum. Light body, a little bit sticky, easy drinking carbonation, leaves the mouth a bit chalky. Great light flavor, more of a hefeweizen than something Belgian. Crisp lemon, soft banana and some spices, orange peel, coriander and clove. Much better than the Sunshine.

Light golden opaque body with a one inch white head and nice carbonation. Clove and citrus aroma. Lots of wit flavors such as coriander, banana, and orange. They could be a bit more pronounced. Flavor also seems just a tad artificial. But this is still a nice Witbier.

Bottle, Foley Pack, Kegs & Barrels, McKinney, TX. Pours a hazy light yellow, white fizzy head, minimal retention, wants to lace the glass...Aroma is a nice burst of citris. Flavor is mostly light citris, slight tang. Palate is light, crisp, med-high carbonation, soft body....very refreshing.....nice summer beer....I liked it.....! Good session beer while by the pool....

Classy pale yellow with light froth served in a Witekerke glass at Uber Tavern. Banana scent with a rough ground pepper note. Light lemony banana and light table pepper flavour.

From a bottle. Pours a very light, clear yellow with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is light and spicy. Flavor is pretty average. Citrusy with cloves and slight wheat flavor. Not my kind of beer, but not bad overall.
