Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

from a 12 oz, and from the brewery. Pours nice and cloudy. All the good aromas you would expect from a classic wit bier. Spices balance nicely with the wheat mouthfeel and lighter flavor of this beer. Very enjoyable

Pours a pale golden color with some white cloudiness and a small but creamy head. Malty citrus and banana aroma. Good flavor of light citrus and grain. Still, not a great wit.

Cloudy pale yellow color with a light head. Strong aroma includes banana, coriander, and citrus. Flavor is a little too strong for my taste, and too complex. Thought it was ok initially but the strong flavors and awkward aftertaste made it loose my vote. My verdict is that it looks and smells way better than it tastes.

Pale yellow pour with a half finger thick off-white head. Aroma is citrusy with a hint of banana and spice. The taste is similar with a bit of malt coming through.

Very light pale yellow, almost "white" with small fine head. Very mild nose. Pick up some yeasty wheat, mild bubblegum. Very soft and light, even for a wit, mild carbonation. Not too much flavor either. Very mild light wheaty flavors with a decent touch of acidity. Hardly any spice detectable at all- tiny bit of allspice. Aroma and flavor follow right along the mild-mannered looks of this one.

tap at the brewery - This wit pours up a lingering, lacing white head and has a good citrus and yeast aroma. It has a light, sweet, citrusy taste. It’s a little watery, but probably served too cold so that would explain that. It’s a fairly good wit.

On tap. Not much for witbiers, but I rather enjoyed this one. Citrus aromas and light golden coloring. Very drinkable and smooth finish.
