Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

12oz bottle from BevMo. Poured a very light, pale yellow -- transparent, and with a very short, thin white head. Very nice aroma, with nice citrus and hops at the forefront, and some mild spices in the background. Also actually grabbed a little of that banana. The flavor is good, but the finish left me wanting something more -- it just lingered with a rather flat flavor (not sure how to explain it). The palate is a bit too bubbly for my liking, but fitting for this Wit. Overall, pretty good. Excellent for summer, though.

Very pale yellow. White medium foamy head. Flavor is mild light grain, toast, banana esters, spices, and cloves. Palate is fresh and soft. Medium bodied for a wheat beer. Light and refreshing. This would make a good summertime sipper.

Pours a fairly clear lemon yellow with just a bit of white head. Aroma is wheat with definite lemon and hints of sourdough. Flavor is citrus lemon with definite spice (cloves). Bitter finish.

Pours almost clear, barely yellow head. Very good blend of flavors. Good amount of spice, I believe it is the coriander that gives it the spice. What ever it is it works perfectly. Would buy again. It is also organic haha

Pours a very pale white-yellow color with a shorter-than-expected white head. Aroma is light and a little sweet, with some wheat and spice nodes. Flavor is similar to taste plus some citrus (orange/lemon) and more spice, but plenty of light wheat flavor. 12 oz. bottle.

This one poured with a short-lived white head and a minimum of carbonation. A lot of traditional wit spices and smells were present including the coriander and citrusy hops. It wasn’t real substantial in the mouthfeel dept., but would be a warm weater refresher. I would have another.

Bottle, BB 12/21/07. Poured hazy, milky golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweeter oranges and a whole bunch of coriander.. spicy and somewhat cohesive with pale malts and more tart orange on the back. Tangy foray onto the tongue with orange zest, coriander, and cloves hitting hard.. after the initial hit, the middle was rather empty and more-than-amply carbonated.. some pale malt and orange meat return on the finish. Lighter-bodied with high carbonation on the palate.. dry finish kind of fizzled out. This was OK, but I wouldn’t want another.

Semi-hazy light golden color with a fast white head. Orange and lemon citrus scents with some lingering malt tones. High carbonation and a light medium body. A honey like sweetgrass with definate citrus zest flavors. Dry and limp finish.
