Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Weird skunk on fruity pebbles aroma, not all bad just a little weird. Pours a cloudy light yellow (one of the lightest wits I’ve seen), has a fluffy but quickly disappearing head (this may not be all fair as my wife opened this a hour ago, drank half the bottle and went to bed, thus some of the carbonation could be gone). Leaves a nice lace. Flavor is good, no fruity pebbles which is good. Lots of citrus, Lemon & Orange. The coriander is subdued, but preset. Really light and easy drinking, very smooth. Overall a tasty brew, within my top five wits.

A decent wit just very middle of the road. Aroma was so so. Light citrus and a hint of yeast. Pour was a very very light gold with a decent one finger white head. Taste was crisp and dry. Strong lemon and orange peel with a hint of spices with a dry aftertaste. Nicely carbonated. Would love to have this in the summer

Pours out a very pale color that reminds me of banana juice (it exists in Belgium). The head is fluffy and white. It leaves a great lacing behind. Smells of orange and lemon zest with good wheat smells. Tastes of citrus and wheat with good yeast character. High carbonation is a little harsh on the palate. Overall it’s a very drinkable beer.

Pale yellow beer with a white head. Aroma is malt and some spice. Flavor is clean, spicy, malty. Finish is sweet and spicy. Pepper shows up after a bit of time. Refreshing summer beer.

Taproom. Pours cloudy yellow with an almost greenish tinge. Yeasty nose. Crisp and refreshing. Good on a hot day in the park

12 oz bottle pours a lemonade hued yellow body with a small white head that drops into some flecky lacing. Aroma of yeast, wheat, coriander and pepper. Crisply carbonated with a light body. Taste has notes of wheat, white pepper, coriander, and a hint of banana. A good summer beer and a "training wheel" wit.

Draught. Nose is yeasty, some citrus notes (mostly lemon). Very unattractive, pale cloudy yellow. Reminiscent of lemonade in color. Flavor isn’t bad, but it’s definitely boring. I wouldn’t recommend ever ordering this again.

Very, very pale yellow, probably lighter than a macro. White head that dissipates into a ring. Pretty phenolic, coriander, and a slight touch of creamed corn. A little bit of tanginess from the wheat shows up on the tongue, maybe a touch of banana and clove, some coriander is there. Maybe I’m on a Witbier kick, because I really enjoyed this and Bell’s 8000 recently, much more so than others seem to. High carbonation with lighter than medium body. I’m surprised I liked this so much, good job New Belgium.
