Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured hazy white color with a medium frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sweet citrus aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.

I know this is a white/wheat, however, even with that, it’s just too light for my tastes.

Very ho hum wit. Pours a straw colored pale yellow. Nose is heavy citrus lemony citrus with alotta spice tangled in. Flavor is similar, dry though and quite carbonated. Not horrible, but definitly not something to seek out.

Had this beer on 8/11/2007. Aroma is a sour grassy scent that reminds me a bit of urine. Color is pale yellow (looks like lemonade). Carbonation is good with a tight white head. Taste is smooth yet spicy. Starting with a light body it goes down smooth. Finish comes in light with spicy tones of coriander and just a hint of orange, then ends with an after taste that brings to mind some kind of cleanser. Its a bit week, is missing the White taste and has an odd after taste. Even with all this it is still a very drinkable beer.

Really pale green/ yellow color, odd aroma and apperance. Wild flavor, not very strong. Slight bitter finish, but overall, pretty similar to other witbiers I’ve had. Not my style.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a very pale yellow, slightly hazy beverage with an average sized white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and left some lacing on the glass. The aroma was refreshing with hints of lemongrass and sweet fruits mixing with alfalfa hay and honey. The body was light with soft carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor starts out lightly sweet and stays that way through the average length finish.

Light yellow color with a small head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Light malt, clove and citrus flavors with a clean finish
