Commercial Description:
Our first venture into organically-produced beer, Mothership Wit Organic Wheat Beer elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium. Our far-flung Beer Rangers affectionately refer to our Fort Collins brewery as the Mothership, a name that conjures images of earth shot from space and the interconnectivity of it all. Mothership Wit is brewed with wheat and barley malt, as well as coriander and orange peel spicing resulting in a balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation.

Bottle - Pours hazy pale yellow with a frothy white head. Nose is light spice, wheat, and a little orange. There’s a stale, skunky off flavor in there too. I can’t place it, but it throws everything off. Taste is pretty straightforward--dry and wheaty, with banana and a little spice. There’s not much going on here, but it’s really pleasant and drinkable. Smooth and creamy, and something I’d like on a hot day.

20oz draft at Denver Airport - Good cloudy pour with proper straw color. Aromatic nose showing the spices used. The flavor was good, but it didn’t linger or have depth. Good not great.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Very light in color with obvious spice but lacking balance and complexity.

Bottled. Pours to a hazy off yellow, thin white head. Smells of orange citrus. Crisp fruity flavor with spicy undertones and sweet malts. Very light easy to throwback a handful.
