Commercial Description:
Mothership Wit elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium with wheat malt, coriander and orange peel spicing - all of which are organically grown. The alluring taste is the result of gravitational balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation. "Mothership", long the nickname of New Belgium's brewing facility, has grown to encompass the brewery's sustainable approach to doing business. Appropriately, MOTHERSHIP WIT - a Wit to Make One Wonder.

A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate white head. The aroma is nice with some lemons, spice, coriander, and orange peel. The flavor is somewhat subdue with some lemons, coriander, and bready notes present. The finish is rather dry. Overall a pretty good witbier.

Aroma is lemony, wheat and yeasty. Pour is hazy yellow with minimal head. Flavor is lemons and wheat. Palate is thin and slightly tart. Decent but just ok.

Good beer with a flavor of orange and lots of spices. Definitely drinkable, but not particularly stunning.

Bottle. A pretty good Belgian Wit. Nice cloudy, golden yellow color with just the right about of sourness with hints of coriander and citrus.

Bottle thanks to a friend bringing them back to me from Colorado. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma is citrus with a slight yeast and spice note to it. Not bad at all.

An great entry into the "real" Belgian white styles with an excellent balance of flavors... aromas, flavor and finish is lighter, but despite no bottle conditioning it does a good job of creating a creamy finish, citrus, yeast esters and spices are all there and make this a very easy to drink beer.
