Commercial Description:
Mothership Wit elevates the zesty Wit or White beers of Belgium with wheat malt, coriander and orange peel spicing - all of which are organically grown. The alluring taste is the result of gravitational balance of citrus and sour flavors held in suspension by a bright burst of carbonation. "Mothership", long the nickname of New Belgium's brewing facility, has grown to encompass the brewery's sustainable approach to doing business. Appropriately, MOTHERSHIP WIT - a Wit to Make One Wonder.

Light golden color......very hazy......almost opaque. Thick, pillowy head......fresh citrus aroma. Light wheat flavor in the front......crisp mouthfeel, though not overdone. Balanced citrus flavor in the back, with a refreshingly clean finish.

An exceptionaly spicy wit. It has a good aroma of spice. Nothing much else to rate this one on.

Poors cloudy pale gold with a massive white head that mostly dimishes. Aroma of banana/bubblegum. Not much happening with the flavor of this beer. Very subtle muted flavor. Definitely drinkable but could use some more spice. As 19641948 states it needs a little oomph!

Looking at my glass and it has a tint of green. Don’t need green beer and hate that the word "organic" is on the label. It has the correct wit beer profile with a lasting sour aftertaste. Head dissipated much too fast but laced the glass. It seemed like a week version of the superior euro wits.

Pours a translucent pale gold with white frothy head. Smells of citrus and spices. Mild taste of citrus and spice. Not as strong as a German hefe. Quick finish; leaves you wanting more. Not too bad, but a bit "thin" for my taste

This is by far my favorite New Belgium beer. I first tried it in the Folly Pack, and since it was such a hit, my liquor store started carrying the six pack. It reminds me a lot of a Blue Moon with an orange in it. Tastes great, though. Would be nice on a summer day.
