| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 13, 2003 Light honey almond amber color with a luscious head filling the pint glass. A light dose of sugar, yeast, and grain mingles in the air as well as a damp smell. Nutty almond malt and grainy flavors dominate. I enjoyed the sexy mouthfeel of smooth, warm alcohol and grain with a dank finish and the arising antiseptic flavor. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA

As opposed to most Belgian styles which are dominated by the yeast, this brew is much more about the hops. Aroma is grainy, hoppy reminding me greatly of the hops Dogfish uses. Taste is more of the same with a pronounced level of hop bitterness and a pleasant use of yeast. Wonderful beer for a confirmed "hop head" like myself. Very good! foduck (304), Denton, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2003 Clear, golden, thin head. Some lacing. Smells like a european lager of some sort, grassy and mildly spicy aroma. Flavor is again grassy, good amount of bitterness in the background, a little spice. Nice malts, a good "single". In a blind tasting I would have sworn this was some kind of imported Euro light ale. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2003 More yellow than golden in color, with a medium head. Has a very pleasant fresh fruit aroma, like at a produce mart. Fairly sweet with apple and pear flavors and a pretty decent hop presence. The finish was slightly bitter, and the lacing held all the way down-seven sips. I really like this one, and it would be great to have on hand when you're watching somebody else mow your lawn. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2003 Slightly sour flavor, tangy hops, feel is slightly effervescent, very lightly creamy. Finishes very clean. It's substantial and drinkable. Nothing fancy but it might be a great intro beer for someone with pedestrian tastes as well as a nice palate cleanser with food. A very unique take on the style, and I have not had that many belgians, but this one was not bad. A slight bit of hoppy bitterness, with strong astrigent qualtities, with hints of fruits suchs as pears and bananas, a little clove, but not enough to affect anything. Finishes off clean and bittersweet.
