Commercial Description:
Hop flavors are standing in the foreground of this fermented painting, yet dedicated New Belgium drinkers will certainly notice in the background our signature swirl of fruity, estery aromas generated by an authentic Belgian yeast strain.

A clear amber with a small, white head. The aroma has grainy malt and fruity esters all over it. Perhaps even a bit of nut. The flavor, again, pulls in nice fruity apples, oranges, lemons, bananas, wheat and floral hops, yielding noticable bitterness. Not much of the accute sweetness I enjoy in Belgians, but a fair amount of the bitterness is present. Not the best Belgian, nor the best New Begium beer, but an interesting interpretation of the style.

A very session like belgian ale. It pours a tad more golden than most amercan standards, very clear and typical lacing. Small hints of fruit and yeast in the aroma, very understated. Almost like a watered down belgian, I'd much rather take Rare Vos over this one.

Definitely in the same family as Abbey and Tripple. I drank them in the wrong order, from Tripple to single, and I still feel pretty good about this one. Definitely better on hot summer days than it's bigger siblings. Once again, a very nice beer from NBB.

On tap in Ft. Collins: Aroma was, as the description states, fruity with esters. There were some bananas in the flavor. A tasty brew. I don't believe I've ever had a single.

Hmmm. Good head and lace in this brew with a yellow color. Nice, there was nothing that stood out, making it one that those that like American megabrews will find acceptable. Vacation 03

3rd rerate: Slightly murky appearance, huge head which sits atop the beer for a considerable amount of time. Smells wheaty, and hoppy, taste is a little sour, tastes old and dusty, with accents of lemons.

Lots of bubbles, very tiny. No head. Kind of weak aroma, yeast and floral notes. not bad, but nothing memorable at all.

Very light golden color and bright aroma. Quick biting, but quickly disappearing hoppiness; very mild maltiness. Doesn’t hold up long on the palate. The intense carbonation of this particular batch may have masked some less obvious flavors; but seasonals aren’t known for their consistency.
