Commercial Description:
Hop flavors are standing in the foreground of this fermented painting, yet dedicated New Belgium drinkers will certainly notice in the background our signature swirl of fruity, estery aromas generated by an authentic Belgian yeast strain.

(draught) Orange corn colour; slight white head. Rather fresh grassy smell - do I smell cornsyrup/cornflakes? Grass returns in the taste, but with a roasted malt aftertaste following a rather long bitterish finish. Hint of esters. Light mouthfeel, some body from the ?corn?. Not very exciting really. Not bad neither.

3rd rerate: Slightly murky appearance, huge head which sits atop the beer for a considerable amount of time. Smells wheaty, and hoppy, taste is a little sour, tastes old and dusty, with accents of lemons.

Golden color with a tall cream colored head. Light hops aroma. Spicy hops bite (along with the carbonation) from the first sip leading to a pale malt flavor that lingers through the finish. Nothing to complex, just a very drinkable brew. Malt and hops.

A very session like belgian ale. It pours a tad more golden than most amercan standards, very clear and typical lacing. Small hints of fruit and yeast in the aroma, very understated. Almost like a watered down belgian, I'd much rather take Rare Vos over this one.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is moderately yeasty (sweat), moderately hoppy (perfume), with a light note of alcohol, slightly medicinal/solventy. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately bitter, moderately acidic. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Starts out fairly weak on flavor, but there’s generous bitterness in the finish and the acidity isn’t too high. The aroma isn’t especially pleasant, being quite perfumey and sweaty with a hint of paint thinner.

Crystal golden hue with a big foamy white head and very good lacing. Aroma hints of malt, earthy yeast, hayfield, lemon, pear, pepper and touch soapy. The taste has layers of sweet fruit tones upon which a yeasty twang and accompanying spice are detected. A wonderfully balanced and easy to drink beer. The mouthfeel is dry and chalky towards the finish, lively beforehand. Straightforward and simple yet sublime brew. New Belgium hits a homer again.

Medium gold color, medium head. A full-bodied Belgian single ale, malty and hoppy. The malts are slightly sweet, while the hops are slightly spicy. Full complex flavors. Full bodied, yet light and refreshing. Question: Belgian estery yeast or some added cane sugars? Can’t tell, but it taste really nice. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
