Commercial Description:
New Belgium's seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you're pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

Bottle, perhaps a little too cold. Small white fast disappearing head. Gold colour, somewhat lile fall pumpkin. Fruity small aroma. Malty flavour, a little spicy but not like a great saison. Spicy finish. Good value for money. A good workaday boerhuis bier.

On tap. A yellow/light amber color. A pleasant hop and light malt aroma. Flavor is a little earthy and almost toast like with a nice hop balance and some complex malt character. It isn’t bad, a drinkable ale, but not one I would choose often.

pours to a yellow color w/ a small off white head. Aroma is well spiced w/ a spicy hop character and some black peppers. Palate is prety avg. Flavor is full of light fruits, some bread notes, pretty sweet sugars and a light pepper. ok.

GABF 06. Aroma is spicy and sweet. Taste is spicy and hoppy up front, with some sweet malts in the middle. Lightly spicy finish.

Golden pour with a thin head. Nice spiced hop taste with a sweet backbone that I’m alright with. Nice fruit characters with that Belgium yeast.

This golden ale poured with a thin off-white head. This heavily hopped ale is well-spiced, but a bit too "sweet and sour" for a saison.

clear gold/yellow with a big white head, sweet yeasty belgium nose, spicey flavor yet not overly interesting, tart finish (off), watery palate, sort of a weak attempt but worth a snag or a snake, ohhhh word killah

Draught. Clear, light amber with a thin head. Earthy, slightly rancid, yeast aroma. Pink peppercorns and flowers in the flavor. Slightly astringent finish. I’m not feelin’ it.
