Commercial Description:
New Belgium's seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you're pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

Bottle. Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, spices(cloves), yeast. Taste is slightly sweet honey and lemon and more yeast and banana. Light body and mild carbonation. This is very easy to drink, would be a good summer brew. Kind of has some hefe qualities to it.

Golden color, pours with good carbonation though not like some Saisons. Actually sweeter, less character than expected. Honey and malt flavors; almost lagerlike which is weird. Medium body. Good, but not worth the $10.99 I paid for the sixer.

i have never had a bad new belgium brew...and this isn’t even near a bad beer...an american version of a saison?..yes it is..but is it a bad representation..no not really!..it is mildly hopped...some honey tones in smell and taste...a new belgium like aroma for sure!...no fkin head at though!..a saison needs head..but i’ve never given a damn about that aspect...is a very fine brew..maybe needs a bit more funk but seeing as this is a nationally american brand, this saison is good, 3 of my friends loved it! ...so good for you NB, u really do seem to know what the heck u are doin...people friendly oh ya! oh boogie!...is quite delicous!

12-ounce brown bottle poured a clear dark gold color with a thin but lasting white head. Fine bubbles pushed a complex/fruity aroma. Medium-bodied and displaying spicy, apricot flavors. A bit heavier mouthfeel than other Saisons, probably more intense malt presence as well. Still, very drinkable. Late alcohol character noticable.

On tap at Hop Vine Pub, Seattle. Copper colour with thin beige head. Belgian yeast aroma. Nutty. In fact it’s really nutty. Peanut. I mean it’s peanut. Not unpleasant but doesn’t go anywhere, bit over carbonated.

had this on draft the other day of all places a country club. poured orange brown with barely any head. sweet nose of apricots and wetness. flavors are abundantly puckery sweet raisins and astringents. extracty feel with an off character. by the end it was almost alcohol sweet and made me not want another.

bottle-Pours light yellow with a fizzy white head. Why is this thing filtered? that is blasphemy! Other than the lack of apperance, this is a tasty session saison. nose is nice with lemon, light funk, estery, floral notes. flavors are grassy, lightly funky, with lots of lemon and sourness. body is somewhat lacking due to the filtered state of this beer. again, a decent session beer, but definately not the saison i was hoping from this company.

Straw golden with ample carbonation. . Band-aid aroma. Yeah, I know it’s supposed to be like that, but... Sweet and sour. bits of licorice, cherry, banana. Time and again I try beers like this, and every time I learn that yeast is not my favorite flavor in beer.
