Overall a bit watery with sticky sour finish. Taste is ok up front, but weak, and ends with dark sour lager mess. Odd, bad. boFNjackson (1288), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Sweet cherries in the aroma. Very red in color. This makes me think of oud bruins. Quite a bit of cherry, fairly sour altogether great I thought. Though a bit thin in the finish. puzzl (2619), New York, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Tap at the Blind Tiger during NYC Craft Beer Week. Tasting this, it is very obviously a blend, which is really not a good thing. The full, malty base of the dark lager and the vinegary sourness from the NB beer are completely distinct and unintegrated. Sweet and sour, nutty, with a thin body. Could use some work, perhaps a third beer that would meld the flavors better. Rciesla (3617), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Draft. Pours a mahogany body with an off white head. A tart dry balsamic note with a malty and grainy body. Light sour cherry balsamic note, then just a dry and very grainy finish.
