Had it bottled.
7.8% alcohol, way too strong.
Unfiltered beer.
Taste was abnormal and unpleasant.
Will not be having it again.

Dec 27, 2009 Pours pale yellow with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is fresh baked bread, overripe fruit, and spices. The flavor is very spiced with caramel and fruit. Nice beer.

Dec 18, 2009 Small head, but not bad looking. Very sweet nose, sense an artificiality, but it’s not offensive. Full palate, lingers with a slight bitterness. Honey taste, hops are flowery, rich, definite coriander. This is a really solid beer.

Dec 8, 2009 Ha! Never rated this, glad I sat down. White pepper aroma, and peanut butter, i swear. Now I want to eat this with Thai food. White sugar, basil, peanut, coriander and white pepper. I can’t get the association out of my head now.

Dec 5, 2009 Poured a light color with a small white head. Nose and taste of sweet hops. Not the best trippel I’ve had, but tolerable.

Dec 4, 2009 Pours a deep gold, with a little white head. A nice Belgian brew. Fairly spicy and still smooth and quite drinkable. A thumbs up.

Nov 25, 2009 Pours clear amber gold with a nice, slightly off white head. Sweetish, yeasty aroma, with some flowery hop notes. Flavor is sweet at first, with a finish that grows progressively drier and more bitter. Some citrus, banana, and spice flavors in there. Not bad.

Nov 24, 2009 More mouthfeel than typical trappist ales. Nice spicy hop finish. Would like a bit more fruit but still a great beer.

Nov 12, 2009 Slightly hazy, lightly orange tinted golden colored liquid. Minimal head with minimal lacing.
Citrus and yeast notes. Floral and spicey. Sweet, fruity smell.
Nice and sweet upfront, but agreeably so. Caramalized white fruits. Light malt kisses. Bready yeast notes. Hops stop by to say ’hello’, but don’t stick around.
Nice and creamy, as it should be, for the style.
When looking for an affordable trippel (i.e.-can’t afford a true belgian today) this would totally work.
New Belgium does good, again.
