The pour yields a hazy, golden colored body with a small head of swirly white foam. Minimal, spotty lacing marks the glass. The aroma shows wheat grain, minerals, and coriander, with a peppery, citrus rind hop note. Flavors follow suit, primarily based in cereal grain, with a slightly metallic, mineral note, and a light, spicy, lemongrass hop bite. Light in body and balanced on the tongue, it is quite quaffable, though the metallic tendencies are a little off-putting. There’s a slight astringency on the finish. Decent brew. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Draft… Hazy, straw-colored ale with a small, wispy, white head. Great retention. The bouquet provides pale grain, lemon peel, underripe banana and mild clove. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor is mostly bitter, but also lightly tart. Lengthy, bitter finish cmillward (434), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours a hazy yellow, fluffy white head. Nose full of citrus and pine hops, some tart wheat and a bit of sulphur comes through as it warms. Flavor is citrus slightly grassy hops, some wheat, nice bitter finish, no sulphur. Wouldn’t mind having this in cans, quite drinkable. fredandboboflo (1404), East Setauket, New York, USA

Some lemon and banana and maybe a hint of wheat in the nose, but mostly metallic, seedy, salty, buttery. Flavor focuses on all the bad parts of the aroma. Astringent as well. Not pleasant. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Growler from Big Z Beverage. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of dicaetyl, maybe some light wheat but dominated by diacetyl. Flavor of clove upfront and more diacetyl with a minerally finish. This is a big mess for me. There are no redeeming qualities to this beer (I don’t even want to drink it on a 90+ degree summer day). I’m very disappointed (the previous ratings tricked me into thinking this was a good beer but I should have known, this coming from New England). This is a flawed beer. Drainpour...

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2009 draft @ redlight redlight. Piney, grassy hop aroma, with light wheat notes, hints of citrus. Pours cloudy golden yellow with a thick white head. Big grassy hop flavor upfront, very floral hop flavor, hints of pine, with a dry citrus peel flavor in the finish. very hoppy, yet light and refreshing. More of a strong noble hop flavor than stronger American hops. Great summer beer!
