Commercial Description:
Named after New Haven’s nickname: the Elm City (but not to be confused with Elm City Connecticut Ale!) It is a true German Pilsner: crisp, refreshing, pronounced. Perfectly balanced pilsner malt made with all German ingredients and Hallertaur hops. It is a perfect compliment to a hot summer’s day! It’s definitely not your grandfather’s beer, but it’s what your grandfather’s beer was trying to be. A must have!!

Can 355ml
Appearance: Golden lager with bright laced top.3+
Nose : Pleasant, light meadow soft hops with sweet golden juicy malting 7+
Flavor/Palate : Soft bodied , malt orientation to Bohemian lagers with light yet easily noticeable green smooth hops . Fruity like, sweet fig. Filling thirst quencher. Solid malt work with smooth execution. On par with best European samples but with its own little difference. Closer in style to Budvar than to Urquell . Yummy brew.

Can courtesy of alldaydrinker. Pours a bright, hazy yellow with a massive puffy white head that shows good retention and lacing. Smell is fairly generic with hints of lemon and spice on top of a mild grainy malt aroma with faint hops in the background. The taste was a bit more complex and enjoyable than the smell would indicate with some nice spiciness mixed in with floral hops and the light bready malts. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and super crisp. Drinkability is extremely high on this and I could see myself polishing off a six pack of these on a hot summer afternoon.

don’t miss it...the beer is crisp fruity creamy tasting and foamy yet creamy in consistancy. honeylike and crisp a nice lager indeed. had a better rating written but the web site is on the blink. well balanced and mild but quality flavors.

A big thanks to puzzl for getting me this pilsner. 12 oz can as pictured. Looks like any other pale yellow american lager but has a big creamy head, even when poured gently. Not much aroma, just clean wet hay and lacks any of the bad odor attributes of many lagers or pilsners. Good amount of carbonation but could use a tad more. Taste is grassy and haylike, very friendly and palatable. Much better and less bitter than most pilsners I’m familiar with. Easy to get along with and perhaps would make a decent session brew, even tho the %alky is not listed here. Finish does have a mild bitter linger to it but it’s not quite as bitter or lingering as most pilsners, and I’m glad of it. Comes across almost wheat beerish in nature.

can. pours a very pale yellow with an inch of white head on top. smells very sweet and corny. very faint flavor of grassy hops and not much else. the palate is very crisp and is really the highlight of the beer. finishes with a slight amount of bitterness. not terrible, but I do live in Pennsylvania so I can easily get my hands on the much better Victory Prima Pils or Stoudt’s Pils.
