Commercial Description:
Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear golden/yellow color with a small had that could use some more retention and lacing is ok. Aroma is well.....apples. Big green apple nose with a slight hint of spice. Flavor is sweet apple up front with a touch of almost caramel and cinnamon at the end. Its almost like caramel dipped apples. The thing I like the best about it is that it very different from a cider. Its a nice mix of apples and beer. Another winner for New Glarus and fruit beers!

Pours a light amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is very sweet with candy and cinnamon. Flavor is sweet but also has an apple tartness at the same time. Light bodied, very sticky texture. A very good beer, the fruit is not overpowering but instead compliments the malt, yeast and hops.

Appearance of apple cider with a thin white head that is gone faster than I can type this sentence. Aroma of apples, cinnamon and malt. Taste of apples, cinnamon, malt. Smooth and tart but a bit too much like apple juice.

Bottle from KingpinIPA. Pours fizzy orange gold with a white head. Sweet apple aroma, very crisp. A touch of some sweet caramel malt. The flavor is very cider like, sweet apple with a light tart tinge, very fresh, brown sugar and caramel. Extremely drinkable.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was soapy and off white. Some tattered lace was left behind on the glass at the end. Pretty simple aroma. Straight up apple cider. Light to medium bodied and sweet with delicate carbonation. Apple cider dominated the flavor, but I also tasted hints of pale malt and toffee in the background. Very easy drinker.

12oz bottle from badbeer. Pretty much what daknole said. Apple cider with the slightest beer flavor finish. Pours clear copper amber with a very thin, fizzy white head. Smells like apple cider. Tastes like apple cider mixed with a malt beverage. Very nice. Medium body, crisp carbonation.

Bottle from noncaloric. Thanks so much. Pours a nice golden color with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is crisp and clean and apples apples and more apples. Flavor is a shocker APPLES. Tart and sweet with one thing that differentiates this from ciders it actually finishes with the slightest beer flavor. A wonderful change of pace and my wife will be very happy.

Really looking forward to this going in...pours a clear copper color with high level of effervescence and a fairly strong white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is all about spicy apple cider, but there is something else in there, maybe some clove, or cinnamon...either way, very nice, and a step above any ciders I have tried. Flavor is both sweet and tart apple, caramel malts, a hint of wheat, and a brown sugary flavor that kicks in near the ends...beautiful...just what I pictured. Superbly drinkable...if I rated palate solely based on drinkability, this would be the easiest 5 ever, but it is a bit more carbonated than I would like. Biggest qualm...the fact that NG made this their unplugged offering, because at this ABV and this drinkability, a 4 pack can disappear quite quickly. Next time, make this the standard offering and the Alt the unplugged version...Prosit
