Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle from Terrel at Cassanova’s. Pours a light shade of red, near pink, with a whispy pink head. Looks very feminine and unsuspecting. Tastes somewhere between liquid cherry pie and a Jolly Rancher/Willy Wonka collab. Much like raspberry tart, this beer is one note - but that one note is incredibly addicting.

Bottle@Home. Very fruity aroma, mainly cherry but also some black berries. But that’s it actually, nothing tart, wood or whatever to be found. Cloudy, deep red colour, beige head, good lace. Very fruity, lots of cherry again, little tart in the start but this just disappears leaving a sweet marzipan and light bitter drink. It’s tasty, but it’s more fruit juice than Belgian Red.

bottle poured a red amber color with minimal off white head. aroma has a dark ripe cherry, sweetness, and a touch of pie spice. such a nice fresh real fruit smell. mouth feel is like a cider with lower carbonation. flavor mirrors the nose and is like a fresh pie. the cherry, acid, and sweetness are just right with some interesting tartness. not really comparable to a fruit beer or a lambic but it is very good.

650 mL. Pours a bright red like cherry soda. Aromas of black cherries with a small red head. Taste is very sweet with candied sugar and black cherries but is missing the intense sourness of a lambic that I sort of miss. Very smooth and natural. Really just tastes like amazing black cherry soda. No alcohol detected. Very enjoyable and good but is this beer?

650ml bottle courtesy of Noblesquirrel. Pours an impressive red color with a small pink head. The aroma is rich with ripe fresh cherries. The taste is similarly loaded with cherries, plus a bit of raspberry and some sweetened cranberry. The finish is long and overtly sweet with lingering berries. The mouthfeel is silky with a malty conclusion. Overall: this is one outstanding brew. I loved it. Thanks Brian.

Dark red with a generous head due to high carbonation quickly fades. Smells like a holiday fruit cake and a very appealing cherry smell. Taste of cherries with a tart plum like taste. Unlike most fruit beers very natural and it does not fell artificial.

Dark cherry red with a thin off white head. Nice cherry aroma, not at all artificial. Taste is the same strong cherry with a light tartness, and oaky vanilla. Fantastic and not artificial or cough syrupy or sherberty with the cherries. Cherries are definitely not my thing but I enjoyed this more than the Raspberry Tart.
