franksnbeans (265), Columbus, Maryland, USA Dec 23, 2007 Pours a rusty looking murky red with a nice pink head that takes its time. Smells mildly tark, the cherries come out to play along with some sweetness. Taste is mostly the sweet cherries, mildly tart with a smooth finish. Medium in the mouth, flat on the finish and a sipping fruit beer to enjoy. KAME (156), California, USA Dec 20, 2007 Updated: Aug 14, 2009750mL bottle. This is a pretty awesome beverage, but probably the least beer-tasting beer that I have had that is actually this good. Pours a deep garnet red with a medium pinkish-white head. Aroma is very vinous, full of dark cherries, and very sweet. Flavor is sweet cherries with a slightly slick mouthfeel. This is a great beer, but I’d like it to be a bit lighter bodied and more carbonated. An awesome brew that I wish I had regular access to. Delicious. beachbum25 (778), Powellville, Maryland, USA Dec 19, 2007 750 ML Bottle-F/Secret Santa-Poured a clear red color w/a tiny carbonated head which disappears almost immediatly. Sweet cherry Aroma. Sweet cherry flavor w/a sharp, tart finish. Has a lot of carbonation. This is very different, but very good. Would be a good before or after dinner drink, although I had it with chicken & it worked quite well. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 16, 2007 Split a bottle at a family gathering. This is an amazing beer. The beer is actually a little red. Nice fruity aroma. The flavor is of overpowering cherries. The beer is sweet, but it was also a little tart/sour from the cherries. Nicely done. fidemaster (172), USA Dec 15, 2007 I usually am not a huge fans of very fruity beers, but this was excellent. It had an amzing mix of sweet/tart cherries, oak, pine. Fantastic flavor great on a cold night out in door county. toncatcher (228), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA Dec 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours a cloudy redish color with a slightly pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries and more sour cherries. Flavor is not as sour as I would have thought by the aroma. Taste like sweet and slightly sour cherries. Delicious and very easy to drink. drseamus (103), Troy, New York, USA Dec 15, 2007 I’ve had this beer a million times before but never taken the time to rate it.
Deep red body with a small white head. The body is very opaque. The aroma is outstanding. Sour cherries blast out of the glass. The flavor on this beer is crazy good. Good sour cherry flavor with a bit of carbonation which seems to make the flavor pop. Ends on a pretty sweet note. The body is a bit heavy for the flavor but it’s pretty light overall. This is a great beer. If I ever get married, I’ll use this in place of champagne for the toast. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Dec 14, 2007 Pours a clean reddish-brown color with a medium champagne head and lacing aplenty. The aroma makes my mouth water; tart cherries with a tinge of sparkling grapes and oak. Tastes like a cherry Jolly Rancher. Has decent carbonation and goes down smooth, but the finish is not as sweet or as strong as I would like. Starts off real good but then fades away and leaves nothing behind. The Raspberry Tart is vastly superior.
