Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

Bottle from Ughsmash. Pours a very dark ruby color. No head. Lovely sweet cherry aroma. Like fresh cherries. Full mouthfeel. Delicious cherry flavor that is both tart and sweet. Finish is really kind of spicy/prickly. Very tasty. Very hard to put down once you start sipping. The different extremes of sweet and sour give your mouth an awesome sensation.

Thick and hazy red with nice redish brown head. BIG cheery nose with a touch of yeasty malt. Huge cherry up front that sours out into a malty treat. What a great beer!

750ml bottle. Hazy reddish ruby hue. Sparse head. Sweet and tart cherry nose. Touch of a biscuit malt aroma. Full and smooth. A total fruit bomb! Tasty and complex. The flavors from the cherries balance between tart and sweet. Malty grainy smoothness. Great beer!

a deep red color with a crisp, snowy white head. it does not look nor smell like beer, cherry dominates in every facet but is surprisingly delicious. a really well crafted beer.

Picked up bottle from New Glarus gift shop. Cool! Pours an opaque red with a creamy off-white, lasting head. Aroma is cherries immediately with some yeast and barley malt. Taste of tart cherries, spicy and sweet all wrapped up together. Sweet yet clean finish. None comparable to all the other fruit beers. This one stands alone.

Pour was deep red, not quite opaque. Small amount of sediment. Small pink head. Flavor is sweet cherry, but not overbearing. Massive cherry aroma. Lots of carbonation. Smooth, no heavy aftertaste. Oak flavor noticeable. Becomes more tart/sour as you drink it. Love it! Good stuff.

Much thanks to pantanap for letting my wife and I try this one. Pours an orangy red into a champagne flute. Head is 1/2 inch white that quickly diminishes. Smells of sour cherries. Taste is malty, and finishes with fresh cherries. Nice balance between tart and sweet. Very refreshing and very good. Excellent fruit beer.

Thank you Harry for fulfilling my quest to try this beer! Incredible real cherry aroma - stunning. Hazy red, pinkish white head - deep, murky, thick. Taste - Cherry, malt, and some bitterness. Formidable thick body, yet quenching. So drinkable and so good. Did not disappoint!
