Commercial Description:
Belgian Red is a tapestry of flavor. This beer is brewed with whole Montmorency Cherries, Wisconsin farmed wheat and Belgian roasted barleys, lagered in oak tanks and balanced by Hallertau hops we aged in our brewery one full year. Over a pound of Door County Cherries in every bottle makes this beer uniquely “Wisconsin.” So unique, in fact, that we applied for a patent. Expect this beer to be ruby red, with a medium body that is highly carbonated and intense with cherry flavor and bouquet.

An unclear red beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma contains notes of marcipan and cherries. While the flavor contains notes powerful notes of fruit and cherries.

Reddish brown. Sweet, full bodied, fresh aroma of sourish cherries, complex. Extremely tasty!

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a hazy, reddish with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of sweet cherries and marzipan. Medium body with rich, sweet cherries - thick and almost like cherry sauce. Extremely fruity but definitely needs something to balance the extreme sweetness. Not a bad fruit beer at all, but I simply don’t understand the high ratings on this one. So many much better New Glarus beers around. 100507

Complex and flavourful, a well-balanced fruit beer with an explosive fruit character. I guess if anything it could use a touch more dark malt.

Bottled. Hazy orange coloured with an off white head. Cloyingly sweet aroma with notes of cherries and marzipan. Very sweet flavour of cherries and marzipan with light acidic notes.
