Commercial Description:
Expect this beer to pour the deapest black body topped by an opulent head of lip smacking foam. Roasted chocolate and toasted caramel notes brim over the top. Lavish spice aromas of clove and cinnamon are promoted naturally by the yeast we import especially for this most individual of brews.

Bottle thanks to Ughsmash! Pour is dark dark brown with fairly large tan head. Aroma is coffee, wheat, chocolate, and dark malt. Flavor is espresso, cigar ash, roasted wheat?, campfire, and hints of chocolate. Definitely has a distinct burned/ashy flavor that is not displeasing. Creates a lot of complexity. Interesting and delicious stuff.

12 oz bottle. Pours super brown with a scraggy white head. Effervescence carries with it a stellar aroma of roast, spice and cocoa. Taste has coffee and cocoa with a cinnamon finish. Nice and bubbly with a light-to-medium body. Among NG’s best beers and another example of their mastery of wheat beers.

Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is nutty chocolate roasted malt, banana wheat. Flavoir is lemony banana wheat and rye tones with a slightly burnt bitterness, nutty tones as well. Some light wood smoke and clove spice in the finish.

Pours very black with an off-white thick head. Aroma is a burnt malt followed up by a light nutty aroma, some spiciness in the form of cinnamon. Flavor starts off with a real burnt malt note but quickly fades into a very odd flavor that I can only describe as a flavor I get when eating sweet pickles and mustard on a hamburger. Ends with a slightly smokey sweet malt flavor with the clove and cinnamon spices coming out at the very end. Vertually no hops comes through but the feel is very dense, smooth and moderately carbonated. Overall a fantastic brew by New glarus again and I could see drinking this with some grilled heavy meats.

Black pour with creamy brown head. It was an amazing looking pour. Aroma of rye, wheat and roasted malt. Creamy taste- rye, sweetness, the roasated malt comes out more at the end. Very unique tasting beer. Tasty. Nice lacing on the glass.

Bottle shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear black color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted and spice aroma. Medium body with a oily texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good beer.

Finale douce. Original et très bon.
